According to Damien Butler from Butler Chartered Accountants, the federal government has ignored small businesses for the past few years. Apart from tax cuts, companies are also praying for a reduction in red tape.

“One of the things we can see is the government is strapped for cash, meaning a lot of our wishes aren’t going to come true,” he said.

In order to ensure continued growth in the economy, both companies and consumers are asking for tax relief. As additional costs are affecting the overall profitability of small businesses, companies are seeking a little help from the federal government.
