Spring has arrived! Bringing with it longer days, more sunshine, and new fashion trends. To help get your wardrobe thawed out from winter and updated for spring , we compiled our annual top 10 spring fashion trends ranking.

Weve ranked the latest trends on a number of components including price levels, mass appeal and the level of ease of incorporating a trend into your current wardrobe. Using these categories and a few more, we've identified what we think are the top 10 trends for spring 2014. And we're confident you'll find more than one that fits seamlessly into your current closet.

Some trends stand alone. For example, throw on a metallic romper and you're set. No need to add a fringe jacket. (Seriously, don't do it!). And others are easily combined to create looks utilizing more than one trend. For example, wide-leg pants pair perfectly with crop tops. Or be even trendier by pairing wide-leg pants with a crop top featuring a word statement or a floral print. (You get the idea.)

Have fun with these trends and be adventurous. Push yourself to try new looks you might even surprise yourself with what works for you. But as always, remember to stay true to yourself. Just because something is on trend doesn't mean it's universally flattering.

My apologies, just have got to say this. In my gmail as I write this and I noticed an ad for this webpage, http://futureboardconsulting.com. It is the 3rd offer I have seen from them today! I do believe I'm being stalked! Okay, I'll return to what I was writing 😉

Most of our top 10 spring trends can be easily adapted to fit anyones style, body type and budget. So if you're petite and love florals go for it! Just choose smaller patterns that won't overwhelm your frame. Or if your abs aren't up to playing peek-a-boo under a crop top, pair the top with high-waisted bottoms or throw on a slimming tank underneath (or opt for a loose sheer detailed top instead).

Make these trends work appropriate with styling. Wear a metallic top under a suit jacket. Have a little fun with a bold word statement hidden under a blazer. Let your skin have some breathing room with wide-leg trousers. Or, go big and bold with a loud floral printed dress or skirt.

Not sure how to pull off a tea-length pleated skirt? Try adding a classic pump or wedge sandal to elongate your legs. Finish the look with a slim-fit sweater to counter the volume of the skirt.

Also, keep in mind that these trends apply to accessories like handbags, shoes, and belts as well. Be on the lookout for fringe bags, metallic belts, and shoes with sheer details. These are often a budget friendly way of updating last years spring wardrobe with this years current trends.

Hope you enjoyed this. I should mention that the idea was suggested by Phil at Traditions holiday lighting and seasonal decor. of course always appreciate ideas and feedback.
