Hospitality Workers Want to Feel Valued

In a recent survey, it was found out that two thirds of hospitality workers believe it is important to feel passionate about their jobs while a third think that feeling valued is a top priority. Conducted by Argos for Business for the UK’s first ever Employee Motivation Day, the survey has put hospitality in the top most motivated sectors in the industry.

Danny Clenaghan, managing director at Argos for Business, said, “Motivation highly influences productivity within the hospitality industry and our study reveals that a large proportion of Britain’s workers need to feel valued by their employer and colleagues to help motivate them to perform well.” He also added that simple gestures such as saying thank you with low cost gift vouchers or allowing employees to leave 30 minutes early are simple yet effective means to motivate staff and workers.
