FilmNation CEO Glen Basner was the keynote speaker during the IFP Film Week Filmmaker Conference. Twenty years ago, Glen Basner was selling sweaters on 7^th Avenue.

At the conference, Basner told the audience how he worked his way up; he never stopped learning. He said the smartest thing he’s done is he didn’t get in his own way. He learned from people he was working with and working for. Whenever he found someone who was really smart, he tried learning from them.
