The National Federation of Independent Business has recently discovered through one of its studies that owners of small businesses and the lenders that they have to deal with do not see eye to eye when it comes to credit.
Lenders would say that standards have eased and improved in the past few years. Small business owners on the other hand would complain that it has become tighter. The study seems to support the thinking of entrepreneurs.
According to Ann Dugan for the post-gazette.com, “Because more small businesses sought credit in 2011 than in 2009 but only the same number got it, the study infers that credit standards must have stiffened.”
